ABC Sustainable Solutions, LLC is on the Steering Committee for The Gateway Eco District.
The Gateway Eco District is a community-driven initiative to organize, identify and implement projects, which will lead to a more sustainable neighborhood where people want to live and work.
It includes residents, small businesses, property owners, and institutions that are committed to improving the environment while meeting long-standing neighborhood needs such as jobs, safety, and affordability.
The current two projects that Colleen Gifford and Carter Stafford from ABC Sustainable Solutions are managing is creating a project team for the purpose of branding The Gateway Eco District. We wanted to bring in the youth of the community so we organized a marketing group that consists of students from the following high schools:
David Douglas High School
Parkrose High School
Portland Christian High School
Along with the high schools we wanted to have local business owners and artist that could help mentor the students and provide guidance on how to put together a marketing plan. Blue Sky Web Development volunteered to work on the project with us and host the website for free.
Christopher Masciocchi is a local artist that designed several banners that displayed along 102nd and are significant to what the Gateway area has to offer.
The project team should be completed with a full marketing plan by the end of July 2011.
